Alice Springs Golf Courses and Clubs

(Alice Springs, Northern Territory - NT, Australia)

Alice Springs Golf CoursesFeaturing breathtaking views of the surrounding scrublands, the Alice Springs Golf Club enjoys a relatively lengthy history, being founded way back in 1933, when the original nine-hole layout lined the easterly riverbanks of the Todd.

With many scenic rocky outcrops, surprisingly green desert vegetation and mature Eucalyptus trees a plenty, this is a true golfing oasis. Be sure to keep an eye out for the statue of Aussie rugby league star Mal Meninga behind the third hole, as well as the resident wallabies, which can often be spotted watching the players from a distance.

There are also some superb 18-hole courses within one or two hour's driving distance of Alice Springs - golf has always been a popular leisure activity throughout the Northern Territory (NT) of Australia. However, the premier course in this area is without doubt the Alice Springs Golf Club, which is easy to find and located within the easterly suburb of Desert Springs, next to the Lewis Gilbert Park.
