Adelaide House dates back to the 1920s, when it was the first purpose-built hospital in Alice Springs. Today, Adelaide House contains a popular memorial museum, commemorating the life of John Flynn, one of the first flying doctors in Alice Springs and Australia's Northern Territory (NT).

The Stuart Town Gaol was built in the early 20th century and is the oldest surviving building in Alice Springs. Today, the Stuart Town Gaol, in the centre of Alice Springs, is owned and managed by the National Trust and has become a popular tourist attraction.

The Old Courthouse in Alice Springs was constructed in 1928, when it was the office of the administrator for this area of Australia, before becoming the Alice Springs Courthouse until 1980. The Old Courthouse is now home to the National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame.
